The holistic approach to mental health helps insure that the mind, the body and the soul align to help promote an overall wellness interdependent on one another.  The mind the body and the soul can be explained as the three brains; the mind the gut and the heart.  These three connected through the nervous system seek to work in conjunction with one other for the overall balance in one’s life.  When all three are working in harmony with each other this gives us a sense of overall health and wellbeing. 

This theory of mind, body and soul connection implies that our thoughts and emotions can have a positive or negative influence on our bodies.  Often times listening to our bodies as a window into our emotions and thoughts helps us know where we need to heal. My vision for Mind Body & Soul Counseling & Wellness Center seeks an Integrative approach offering a variety of holistic practices in addition to traditional talk therapy to serve the whole body.
